On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Industrial Development Agency JSC and the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Special Economic Zone, a formal meeting took place at the castle in Baranów Sandomierski, as well as the conference “Euro-Park Mielec – from tradition to industry 4.0”.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the thirteen largest enterprises in the economic zone, distinguished by their growth dynamics and scale of employment, who were presented with commemorative statuettes. President Ms Bernadetta Dzik represented the BURY company.

The entrepreneurs, together with local government officials, discussed the experience of the last quarter century, as well as the future of the first economic zone in Poland. On this occasion, it is worth mentioning the people who significantly impacted the creation and today’s form of the Special Economic Zone in Mielec. The team for establishing the Economic Zone in Mielec was led by Janusz Chodorowski, who later became the Mayor of Mielec. He worked with a group of advisors from Ireland and was supported in his efforts by later Minister Edward Nowak. The activity of its long-time directors – Mariusz Błędowski and Krzysztof Ślęzak – has been significant in the development of the Economic Zone for over 25 years.
