Earth Hour
Starting in 2007, one of the biggest social initiatives, “Earth Hour”, is organized every year on the last Saturday of March. On this day, lights in cities, institutions, corporations and homes are turned off for an hour at a set time. It is a symbol to draw people’s attention to the issues of climate change and excessive energy consumption and to encourage eco-friendly attitudes.
BURY Sp. z o.o., in fulfillment of its commitments to the Environmental Policy and Energy Policy and requirements related to Sustainability in the broadest sense, joined the campaign.
This year’s celebration fell on March 26. On Saturday evening, disregarding the wind and cold, the team, consisting of Boguslaw Kulpiński, Krzysztof Kopera, Robert Tyksiński, Anna Węgrzyn, Paweł Trojanowski, Jerzy Sobuś, showed up at the company’s premises – ready to turn out the lights punctually at 8:30 pm.
